Providing access to CAIDA datasets through IMPACT (Information Marketplace for Policy and Analysis of Cyber-risk and Trust) constitutes a novel data distribution model for CAIDA. Note that for most dataset CAIDA vets the researchers requesting data access. However, for select datasets (i.e., the datasets for which our website directs you to this page), we now require registration through the IMPACT portal. Following successful registration, researchers can apply for access to all datasets in the IMPACT catalog (which include data from several data providers other than CAIDA).
If you have been redirected to this page when trying to request a CAIDA dataset, then access is provided exclusively through the DHS Impact program.
On the IMPACT portal
- locate the requested dataset in the IMPACT data catalog using the search engine.
- after locating the dataset
- if you don't have an IMPACT account yet, apply for one
- if you have an account, then follow the instructions for requesting the dataset
