Background
Colby graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1999 with a degree in Biology and started working for a UC Santa Barbara reseach center called NCEAS (National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis) as a desktop support tech, where he became a System Administrator in 2001. He moved to San Diego in March 2007 and then joined CAIDA.
