Philipp is an Internet data scientist, and was at CAIDA mostly working on improving the system for Internet Outage Detection and Analysis (IODA).

Background
Originally from Austria and not satisfied with the supply of kanelbullar, Philipp moved to Sweden in 2011 and graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Karlstad University in 2015. He then moved to the U.S. for a postdoc at Princeton University, and eventually joined CAIDA in 2018 until March 2019.
Philipp's research interests revolve around computer networks and security; in particular applied cryptography, anonymity networks, and Internet measurement.
