Dr Tony McGregor is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Waikato in New Zealand where he teaches computer networks and operating systems. He is a member of the WAND research group with a special focus on network measurement and simulation.
During the Summer and fall of 1998 he spent 6 months at SDSC working with the National Laboratory for Applied Network Research (NLANR)where he initiated the AMPactive measurement project. Since that time he has returned to his teaching and research position at the University of Waikato but continued to lead the AMP project.
He became interested in CoralReef while visiting SDSC and used it for teaching his "Advanced Communications and Networks" class in the first quarter of 1999.
In addition to his computer science interests he is married with two children, runs a small "hobby" farm and enjoys dingy sailing and cycling.
